Hopping on the blyg train

So in October, I plan to read all of Friedrich Nietzsche's book, Thus Spake Zarathustra.

Thus Spake Zarathustra follows a wandering prophet who challenges conventional morality, religion, and complacency, urging humanity to overcome itself and create new values through poetic speeches, provocative parables, and encounters with strange companions.

This little personal challenge happens to correspond perfectly to Venkatesh Rao's unveiling of his new invention, Blygger, a protocol for blogging that works natively with AI text generation. You can find all existing blygs at Blygger.com. 

So that grey block above was generated with ChatGPT, which is a function built natively into the protocol. Whenever I use that function on here, it will be indicated with that little grey box. To me this is a nice liminal place for writers who want to save some time on the boring bits of writing with AI while being transparent about it.

This is elegant, because Rao has been enthusiastic about liminality in the past.

So I plan to use this site to write little updates based on my daily readings through October. The plan (which ChatGPT also helped me work out). I vibecoded this up using Codex by showing it the Blygger protocol site. So hopefully it publishes correctly.

In theory, this post is up to the spec and there's copies of all my old ones up to the spec, too. I think?

Anyway, here's the reading plan for Zarathustra in October if anyone sees this and wants to follow along with me. Maybe we can comment on each other's interpretations, but I'm not sure I know how to use those functions in the app I made for my site yet. 

Every Blygger user should join me in reading Thus Spake Zarathustra this October and blygging about it: shared questions and clashing interpretations will give us a lively way to test the new protocol.
